"I dont shop at Primark"

says the not so stylish fashionista wannabe. Gosh!who doesnt shop at primark i say to myself? The different between a true lover of fashion and those who have a thing for wannabe watanabe is that. The fashion lover sees he beauty in bith the old and new, the wanna be sees only the shiny hence new as acceptable. 

I wouldn't raid Primark myself but the point is there is always something beautiful in the most unexpected of places. her my honey bun wearing an atmosphere 2009 studded dress. I've had it for a year now and i never wanted to wear it. it was a smash hit.(I believe in blowing my horn). 

Other brands like Dorothy Perkins, and New look fall in the same category as Primark and i have great things from all those shops. 

I understand the need to for luxury items but buy what you love. The heaviest and most uncomfortable shoes I have ever worn happen to be the most expensive. When next you feel the need to walk by that thrift store, take a second glance. You never know what kind of treasure are just waiting to find you. :)

Ms Player

I am not one to those people that succumbs to the male world theory. I liked the emergence of female players. Though they're called Heart breakers. I think Ms player is a better name.
Like the male breed,We have 3 types. They are all the same creature but at different levels of evolution


Ms Player 1. 

 She does her thing and like the a Piguet she never misses a beat. She's gone before you get comfortable. There is no pretence with this creature.She told you from the start. She likes her men hot. Spooning is not an option.This woman cares nothing about image. Its her strength and yet her weakness.Nothing is calculated but it doesn't matter.Math can solve its own problems.Ruthless but sweet. Heartbreak is imminent.


Ms Player 2
This is the woman you don't want to be. Uncalculated,reckless. She is a victim.Having no hold on her men.She's sometimes made sport . In trying too hard to be the male figure in the deal,she seems desperate.Trying to get feelings out of her men.Her time will cost you money.First mistake. "Never let your prey smell your fear." Mum always said. guess she wasn't listening.






Ms Player 3

The woman is all suave. She is all about Image.Batting eyelashes only you seem to see. Flirting is given a new meaning. You think you're in but you just have to make sure. She makes you want to keep giving. She plays it cool but she gives you glimpses of the Vixen.No promises are made but thats okay. She lets you know you're not he only one and thats okay cuz one day she'll see how special you really are. Like our number one man,she tells the skillful truth. Her victims are not few but far between. Everything is calculated with her knowledge of how people work.She's what you want and you're willing to wait. Though you know how wrong she is,she still seems pure .Heartbreak?She doesn't know the meaning of the world. Discretion though, She invented that.

Mr Player

Seeing movies like Two or Three can play that game     (For the life of me, i will never understand why there was a sequel to that movie). I always wondered if there were men so jobless in our supposed recession to bother themselves about such games.

You guessed it,Of course there are. We have different types.


The one with no game but he decides to inflate whatever niceness is shown to him.He might hit that with some but like a friend to all,he is a friend to none. This type feels he is on top of his game. Most times,he is alone in it because he doesn't realize that he is playing alone.


Another type is the one we have to give kudos to because he does what he does so well. Unlike our first pitiful case above,our man here is a guy's guy.This particular breed of man does his scheming like he breathes. This is a man who has mastered telling the skillful truth.With him,every girl feels important but he hasn't made any promises. She suspects he might be two timing but not with the way he looks at her.She knows the girl he is sleeping with but it is not his fault because she is forcing herself on him. They all want to be the one to make him commit and when he doesn't.. Its her fault.This breed is endangered sadly.:)


The last type is the clumsy one. His women all know each other and he get nothing from any of them and he keeps attempting.The saying did  go If at first you don't succeed ......... ;  ) . Advice to this breed: Keep trying,we all need someone to crack us up with msgs on our answering machines and Blackberry history.

Raison d'etre

"Love be it for a child or a lover gives us a reason to exist"

Goodbye my lover,you have been the one for me.I'm so hollow but time will create a new hunger that I'll learn to fill.

Everyone says heartbreak is the hardest thing to experience. My childish  inner voice assure me that I'd never know that feeling. The only thing harder than heartbreak is love that exists but cannot be.

I thank Heaven for everyday.Nan always said please and thank you's are worth all the money in the world. 

Being no fool as a child,I figured I want all the money in the world so I had better say all the please's and thank you's I can.I don't have it figured out yet but I know that nothing is more important than a love all encompassing,all giving,true,honest and turbulent. no one gets a rush from a calm ride. We've had our ups and downs and i know we will grow our separate ways when we part but like the child in me,I wont forget to say my please and thank you's.

So thank you for teaching me that no feeling is better than when you give without expecting.

Giving is best done and best appreciated when it is done not out of abundance.

Love like you want to be loved and love with your heart. A heart filed with strength, not one filled with weakness. 

Love is about acceptance and its a plunge not a dip.

All the wrong choices

I've been thinking a lot lately. I am an Accounting Major in an AU affiliate(that line always cracks my friends up) I attend the American university in Nigeria so I dont see how that is a lie.

Anyways I've thinking about what I want to do with my life after uni.I was real surprised that I had no idea what it was I wanted to do. I just realised I will be turning the big 20 soon and everyone will expect me to have choices to make. However unorthodox it mmight seem, i want to have a baby.

IN Nigeria, the only women that are allowed to think of having babies are theone who have husbands. It doesn't matter if you can take care of the child, you just have to have a husband. Well I dont want a husband. I just want the results.

I know I can. Strong women like Genevieve Nnaji (Whom I adore to bits), Zizi Cardow (she has the greatest legs in the world )could do it.I will too. I am not a feminist, I dont think women and men should be struggling to rule over each other, I just want to be free to do whatever I want.

Turning 20, I thinking I have to do something drastic but like everything else in my life before this wont come to me,I have to go after it. What am I gonna do?i HOPE YOU'LL BE ALONG for the journey. I'm looking out onto the world .though right now,I'm in the library and its just a blue globe sitting on a desk,I am a part of that world and like my friend said

" I want to live a life where heaven will await and expect me and the earth will dread my departure"

I love life, God and all that he created. I am a testimony and you can be here to witness. I love you all.

2010 or 20-end

This year started on a dulll note for me.I was depressed but Here comes Month 4 and i'm beginning to wonder if I'm not letting the last year pass me by. We all saw the bluckbuster 2012 and with 5earthquakes and numerous sandstorms(inYola specifically) I'm wondering if i shouldn't be out living my life to the fullest.

The theme for this year is Living and living I am trying to do. 2010 bring up very many qquestions.Will Nicki Minaj ever change her hairstyle? Does Keri hilson have an aversion to hair stylists? Will Leona Lewis remain ever gorgeous? These are people who have almost no problems.Oh and lastly,why has every one chosen to shave their heads. Thats exactly it,They have chosen and its a path.

In dedicating this post to those who have chosen to live,I 've decided to honor genius too.I recently stumbled upon this designer and My mouth is still hanging open.The designer is non other than Loza Maleombho. She's stunning as ever. Why not a beautiful person to create beautiful thingsHere's Loza on the left.

I have always thought,Writers and designers had a gift for putting themselves together in a not too preppy but togehter kind of way.

Your truly happens to have fashion dreams of her own and people like our hearted LM constanly raising the bar. you'll just have to wait and see..........
